The Best Starter Mic for Podcasts and Gaming

When I first started producing audio and video content, I didn’t have a ton of equipment. So like most, I started recording on my mobile device. I was really excited about starting my podcast, and after pricing a few mics, I quickly realized that the voice recorder on my phone was enough to get me by.

I chose the Sudotack ST-800 because it was a great microphone for beginners, and for all of the accessories that were included. I don’t have a large recording studio or even an office for that matter. Right now I have a small workspace but this particular microphone kit is ideal for any space. Plus, with the affordable price point (for all that you get), it was hard to turn this one down.

When it comes to Tech gear, especially when I’m recommending a product, I try not to get too caught up with the specifications (unless it’s completely necessary).
